Boogie Lab - Visual Identity


Music and food. When it comes to us, that was enough to pitch us to work on this project. With the founders of this project, Mladen Vidović and Karlo Vulin, we found a common ground right from the start on how we envisioned visual identity of the Boogie Lab, an artisan bakery, restaurant and bar in one. The "dancing" logo directly refers to the Boogie era of the late 1970s and early 1980s, while the tagline, with which we completed the identity, "Sunshine, Moonlight, Goodtimes", was inspired by the Jackson 5 song "Blame it on the Boogie", and it conveys the idea of ​​a place you visit when you want to feel good, regardless of the time of day. 
The conceptual solution is composed of two parts and dances through the space in which it is located, and at the same time is independent of that space and the choice of background. Right from the start, through custom-made and unique typography, it creates a more recognisable logo from the logotype. From the logo, we extracted a unique grid that is used as a separate visual element in the environment and marketing communication. In addition, we created pattern that is derived from the logo, which is used in all communication materials. The perfect implementation of this identity in the space itself and the interior design was carried out by the talented Mia Petričević and Kristina Volf. As for the food, it's a music for your tastebuds, and we advise you to visit the Boogie Lab as soon as possible.

Glazba i hrana. Kada smo mi u pitanju, skroz dovoljan pitch da nas netko dobije. Sa idejnim začetnicima ovog projekta, Mladenom Vidovićem i Karlom Vulinom, je to bio spoj na prvu da im vizualno osmislimo identitet za Boogie Lab, zanatsku (artisan) pekarnicu, restoran i bar u jednome. Logotip koji “pleše” izravno se referira na Boogie eru s kraja 1970-ih i početka 1980-ih godina, dok slogan, s kojim smo upotpunili identitet, “Sunshine, Moonlight, Goodtimes”, inspiriran pjesmom "Blame it on the Boogie" grupe The Jackson 5, prenosi ideju o mjestu koje posjećuješ kada se želiš dobro osjećati, neovisno o dobu dana. 
Idejno rješenje složeno je iz dva dijela i pleše kroz prostor u kojemu se nalazi, a istovremeno je neovisno o tom prostoru i izboru pozadine. Odmah na prvu, kroz custom napravljenu i jedinstvenu tipografiju, tvori prepoznatijiv znak iz logotipa. Iz znaka smo izvukli i prepoznat|jivu mrežu / grid koja se koristi kao zasebni vizualni element u prostornoj i marketinškoj komunikaciji. Iz znaka je izveden i prepoznatljiv uzorak / pattern koji se koristi u svim komunikacijskim materijalima. Perfektnu implementaciju ovog identiteta u samom prostoru i dizajn interijera su izvele talentirane Mia Petričević i Kristina Volf.
